Cooked by our Chefs' School cookery apprentices under the competent eye of Head Chef Dan Russell, the Old Ale House in Truro's summer menu is the latest seasonal menu designed by our chefs at River Cottage.

You can choose from ribs of beef (supplied from the Bury family), locally-caught mackerel burger, pollock scotch egg with aioli, and fresh panzanella salad washed down with Skinner’s fine Cornish ales.

Having created the menu, Lead Chef Tutor Gary Richmond said, "The summer menu enables us to offer a lighter dining experience whilst still using the great ingredients from the Cornish larder. We have incorporated some great seasonal dishes to run alongside the existing favourites, like EPA sticky chicken wings. As well as the new menu, there will be new dishes changing regularly on the blackboard."

To celebrate summer's great produce, Old Ale House are giving 100 lucky diners the chance to enjoy a sneak-peak of the menu and dine for free at an exclusive summer preview.

Simply register your interest on their website to be in the draw for two free tickets. You could win two free evening meals on Thursday 16 July and sample the menu before anyone else. The lucky winners will be selected and contacted via telephone on Monday 13 July.
