We are delighted to announce that the annual River Cottage fundraising dinner will be taking place on Thursday 8th September 2022.
Hugh and River Cottage have been a huge supporter of Project Food since its creation and we're thrilled to be a part of this fundraising event. The evening’s plant-based meal will have been foraged and grown on the farm or by nearby farmers, growers and artisans who share their passion for the finest provenance.
With only 60 tickets available, this will be a unique dining experience which we hope will raise vital funds for Project Food’s work supporting families and people with mental health problems who struggle to feed themselves adequately.
We will begin the evening at 6.30pm.
You will be met at the top of the hill at Park Farm, from where you will stroll down the scenic track to the heart of the farm with its 17th-century farmhouse, livestock and extensive kitchen gardens.
You will enjoy a welcome drink and canapes with Hugh on arrival and be treated to a guided tour of the abundant kitchen garden (weather permitting), where much of the evening’s meal will have originated.
Once you have taken your seats in the barn, there will be a short talk from Hugh, he will hand you over to the expert hands of a talented River Cottage chef who will describe the menu, explain the food’s provenance and how the dishes have been prepared. An exceptional plant-based three-course meal, followed by petit fours and coffee will then be served.
We are confident you will leave full of delicious food, happy memories and, we hope, some garden and kitchen inspiration too!
To finish the evening, Hugh will host the auction. There will be some fantastic and unique experiences up for grabs, such as afternoon tea hosted by Hugh himself, a skippered sail from Plymouth on board a Sweden Yachts 45, a 2-night stay in a grade II listed holiday cottage in Dorset, and much more.
If you are booking as part of a group, please contact info@project-food.org.uk so they can ensure that you are seated together.
Please be aware that there is an uneven down hill walk from the carpark to the farm, if this isn't suitable for you, please contact info@project-food.org.uk so alternative arrangements can be made.
