We are now licensed for legal wedding ceremonies

Couples can now actually get hitched in Hugh’s famous farmhouse or beautifully restored threshing barn with breath-taking views across the Axe Valley. Getting married at River Cottage is a unique experience where the food takes centre stage.

Couples design their wedding menu with our talented chefs and kitchen team, wowing guests with the finest local and seasonal ingredients from the West Country, as well produce grown and reared on the organic farm itself.

With competitive low, mid and high season tariffs the wedding party has exclusive use of the entire 65 acre site. The in-house wedding co-ordinator helps the day run smoothly and couples can choose to indulge with a delicious afternoon tea, wander the farm, wang a wellie or just relax and soak up the marvelous surroundings on their special day. Then, after a feast fit for a king it will be time to dance the night away in the barn.
